The reason why I wanted to join the Sisters is because I really want to help out in the community to the best of my ability. When I saw the Sisters at Pride, I wanted to know what this was all about. Soon as I knew that the Sister's were a Non-profit association that helps raise funds for others, I knew I wanted to be a part of this Sister-hood. As well as to show others that they are beautiful the way they are, and that they are loved.
I am passionate about Female Veterans who are homeless. I am a Veteran and I came within 1 week of being homeless myself. Female Veterans seem to get "Forgotten about" in the mix of being a Veteran. To raise funds in anyway we can to help them out is near and dear to my heart.
I am also passionate about trans rights and the trans community. I personally know that it is wrong that certain people in congress and higher up want transgender individuals out of military service. To raise awareness and education of all trans individuals is what I would like to do.
