Victor Rodriguez-Routt (Builda Wall)

Was born & raised in a very small town in southern Mexico. His sense of style & sassy personality was definitely no match for his humble surroundings. After a few moves within Mexico during his teens, he moved to Los Angeles in his early 20's and pursued a career as a chef at a local restaurant in Burbank. After 8-10 years, he shifted his passion to hair - and became a Master Hair Stylist. He catered to numerous A-list & B-list actors/actresses and their producers.

In July 2009, Victor met his soon-to-be husband, Adam Rodriguez-Routt, and moved to Kentucky in September of that year to start a new adventure in Lexington.  A few years after his move, Victor opened The Salon at Henry Clay and welcomed customers from all genders & walks-of-life to support his dream of owning his own salon. 

Victor was very involved in the local bear communities in Los Angeles & Lexington. He also participated 8 times in the AIDS LifeCycle, a 585-mile bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds to find a cure for HIV/AIDS. As soon as the announcement was made that the Kentucky Fried Sisters had started a house in Lexington, he immediately wanted to be involved.  In 2018, Victor (Builda Wall) joined their house, and became a fully-professed sister at their Exequatur during World Bear Weekend in August of 2018.

On April 28, 2019, our world grew a bit dimmer when our dear friend and sister, Builda Wall, passed on at age 45.  Although he left behind many friends & family members who mourn his loss daily, his light shines on at his salon (now owned/managed by his husband); and we reminisce about his happy-go-lucky approach to life; his generosity to charities; and his love for everyone he encountered.  

Thank you for honoring Sister Builda Wall to memorialize her contributions to The Kentucky Fried Sisters, and the LGBTQ+ community of Lexington, KY.

ADAM RODRIGUEZ-ROUTT

Toni Zeal (Sister Lee Love)

Born in Panama City Beach, Florida on August 30, 1961 Toni was talented beyond her own understanding at both crafts and befriending people. Toni was what we consider a natural sister. She was someone that took to helping others just as a fish takes to water. Countless sisters throughout the world knew Toni either through her art or warm disposition and conversations. Toni aligned with the SPI when she became involved with The Orlando Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Eventually, Toni would relocate to a more rural part of Florida’s panhandle and diverge from a formal house. Though she was not a formal part of a declared house Toni never let that hinder her ministry and persona as Sister Lee Love. 

Toni evolved to meet the needs of those around her using social media to support and share a message of nondiscriminatory love. As fate would have it Toni developed friendships here within the Kentucky Fried Sisters and began working with us sharing her knowledge and talent supplementing our work. The KFS made the decision to redefine what it means to be a member of the Lexington house and started developing  a missionary position for sisters outside the bluegrass region.

 In early November of 2017 Sister Lee Love suffered a massive stroke that would take our family and sister from us. The KFS held an emergency meeting on November 7, 2017 while Toni was on life support and together we decided to make her lifelong dream a reality, Elevating Sister Lee Love to a FPM of the KFS. Still to this day Toni’s ministry lives on inspiring others to be a little weird, a little creative, and always full of Love.
